I made a bunch of gifs so I could post “original” stuff instead of just reblogging from others. They were fun to make and it felt like I was contributing to the “nsfw community” of tumblr. They only got a few notes, but that’s ok, I can’t complain.
However, when those gifs are taken and reposted by others and getting thousands of notes instead of being reblogged, then it’s no longer so much fun. At that point it becomes somewhat meaningless (I’m effectively working for other blogs for free without being credited), and so I no longer want to contribute. I suspected this would happen, so I’m not surprised, but I thought it was worth a shot.
